Description
French M1822 Percussion Military Pistol. All brass mounts, walnut stock, iron .69 caliber barrel measuring slightly in excess of 7 1/2". There are a multitude of marks on the barrel, lock, barrel tang and screw heads, including "Manuf Roy / Maubeuge" on the lock and "22" on the tang for the model year. Nice smooth patina overall, just some minor staining but no rust or pitting. Wood also with rich patina and just a few minor dents. The original ramrod is stuck and the hammer spring is either broken or missing. Very fine example and a very crisp gun.Auction Info
