Description
Cased and Engraved Ketland & Co. Flintlock Pistol.Unserialized, .44 caliber, 5-inch barrel with English proof marks to base. Light floral engraved frame and triggerguard. Left side of frame marked: KETLAND & CO. Smooth hard wood grip with decorative silver wire inlays and oval escutcheon with the letter N to top of wrist. Carved head to metal butt. Contained in wood display case with tools, balls, bullet mold and powder flask.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and pitting. Lots of silver wire absent. Scattered scuffs and dings to grip. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore.
