Beautiful 18th Century Italian Miquelet/Roman Lock Pistol.
Unserialized, approximately .58 caliber. 12-inch round Damascus barrel which slowly transitions to octagonal at the breech. The Damascus barrel is additionally adorned with intricate patterns of silver inlay and with a small inset brass escutcheon on top of the breech. Un-decorated lock, hammer and frissen. The finely figured, carved walnut stock is enhanced with a ornate brass side lock with German silver vignette, an ornate brass trigger guard with German-silver vignette, brass ram rod ferrules, the rear accented with a German-silver vignette, and an ornate brass butt with four German-silver vignettes including a large Gothic "A". Finally an ornate floral brass escutcheon with German-silver inlayed portrait is mounted to the rear of the barrel tang. Brass-tipped wooden ram rod. Approximately 18-inches overall.

Condition: Excellent. Exhibiting modest and respectful handling wear. Hammer needs adjustment.
