Remington Rider Double Action Pocket Revolver.
Serial no. 1579 [under barrel and frame in triggerguard] and 79 [inside each grip panel], .32 rimfire short caliber, 3-inch octagonal barre with fixed front sight. Nickel-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS, ILION, N.Y. / RIDERS PT. AUG. 17, 1858. MAY 3, 1859. Brown checkered grip panels. Factory conversion to metallic cartridge form makes it probably one of the first double action cartridge revolvers. Flayderman 5E-005.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with noticeable wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to grips. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
