Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver.

Serial no. 173523 [frame and crane], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Bottom of barrel stamped: "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Butt marked: U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1917 / NO. / 20 / 920. Checkered hard rubber grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Lanyard ring.

Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 90-92% finish with thinning at muzzle and relief edges. Scattered handling wear, fine patches of pitting and tracking line to cylinder. Action crisp. Bright bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
