Description
Colt Model 1878 Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 15208, .476 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with London address. Nickel-plated finish. Fire-blued hammer and trigger. London proofs on barrel and cylinder. Left side of trigger bow marked: 476 Cal. Checkered hard rubber grips with rampant colt. Inside right grip panel is pencil-numbered to the gun. Lanyard swivel at the butt.
Condition: Excellent as possibly refinished. Fine scratches and handling wear. Caliber marking uneven. Some early flaking at front of muzzle. Trigger retains much of the original bright blue. Hammer with traces of blue. Mirror bright bore showing almost no wear. Action crisp.
