Description
Rare 2-inch Variation.
Colt Marshal Model Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 835673 [frame and crane], frame also stamped J G M, .38 special, 2-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. VP proof mark, W and Rampant Colt logo to left side of frame. Checkered walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. 1 of 2,500 manufactured. Please note, no M suffix after serial number, but scattered J G M markings.
Note: Colt only produced this model between 1954-1956.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 85-90 with thinning to relief edges and gripstraps. Scattered handling wear and very fine spot of pitting. Crisp action. Strong bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
