Colt Lightning Double Action Revolver. Serial no. 38473 [frame and triggerguard] and 23280 [butt], .38 caliber, 2 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and two-line Hartford address. Nickel finish. Three-line, three-date patent. Checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. Manufactured in 1882. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg. Condition: Good. Retaining traces of nickel finish, the balance a grayish patina with scattered wear, flaking and pitting. Scuffs and scratches to grips. Action is good. Bore is good.Auction Info
