Description
F.A.P. DISTRITO FEDERAL.
Colt Cobra Model Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 43859 [frame and crane], .38 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Rampant Colt and unknown crest [possibly Brazilian] to left side of alloy frame. Case-hardened hammer. Checkered walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Butt inscribed: 242. Backstrap inscribed; F.A.P. DISTRITO FEDERAL.
Condition: Good as configured. According to research, early alloy frames only in .22 caliber. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a bright grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action not working, needs adjustment.
