Colt "Auburn Prison" Official Police Double Action Revolver.

Serial no. 3489 [frame and crane], .22 long caliber, 6-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. AUBURN PRISON etched to right side of frame. Checkered walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Manufactured in 1932. Auburn Prison, now known as Auburn Correctional Facility, is a historic maximum-security prison located in Auburn, New York. Established in 1818, it is one of the oldest prisons in the United States and is famous for pioneering the "Auburn System" of prison discipline.

Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 70-75% finish with noticeable thinning to relief edges and gripstraps. Scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Tracking line to cylinder. Few scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore.
