Description

Connecticut Arms Hammond "Bulldog" Single Shot Deringer.

Serial no. 4117 [frame under grip], .44 rimfire caliber, 4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front brass sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened frame, hammer and spur trigger. Top of barrel marked: CONNECTICUT ARMS & MANF'G CO. NAUBUC CONN. Checkered hard rubber grip panels. These were manufactured from 1866 to the late 1880's, total quantity approximately 8,000.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 40-50% of a thinning finish with signs of age, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Some case colors remaining. Few minor scuffs present to grips. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
