Description
Allen & Thurber Bar Hammer Pepperbox Revolver.Serial no. 147 [frame under grip], .31 caliber, 3 1/4-inch barrel cluster marked: ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER / PATENTED 1837 CAST-STEEL. Bar hammer marked: ALLEN'S PATENT. Scroll engraved frame and nipple shield. Smooth walnut grip panels. Contained in unmarked leather holster.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bores. Noticeable cracking to leather. The Bill Bentham Collection.
