Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol with Notarized Letter Confirming Ownership to Brigadier General E.F. Straub.

Serial no. C189033, .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Textured trigger and backstrap. Checkered walnut grip panels. Two-tone magazine. Grip safety. Sold along with notarized letter dated October 20, 1980, stating the pistol's association to Brigadier General Elmer F. (Pete) Straub. The typed letter is signed by the General's wife, Mrs. E.F. Thelma Straub.
Note: General Straub was a 34 year veteran with the United States Army, serving in World War I and World War II.

Condition: Very good as refinished. Retaining approximately 97-99% finish with light handling wear and a few very fine spots of pitting. Action crisp. Mirror bright bore. Please note: Gun has been refinished. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
