Description
World's Columbian Exposition: Movable Sidewalk Ticket. From the C series and numbered 178449, on blue stock and in near mint condition. Great ticket, also found in green. The Pier Movable Sidewalk Co.'s Moving Sidewalk was at the pier jutting out into Lake Michigan and for a nickel offered a seated excursion around a loop over the water, essentially a modern escalator that was flat and fitted with seats.
