Description
French Model 1874 Cuirassier Officers Helmet Silver plated gilt edged skull with ornate gilt crest, terminating in a medusa head with horse hair comb, lacking the top gilt socket with a screw in its place, side with a gilt socket and red feather plume. Ornate gilt front plate featuring a flaming bomb , velvet and leather backed gilt flower petal chin scales terminating in flower bosses. Leather gilt edged lining shows moderate wear as does the leather peak lining. Excellent overall condition and an extremely fine example.Auction Info
