Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-5 & STS-35) and Challenger (STS-41-B) Silver Robbins Medallions Originally from the Personal Collection of Missions Commander Vance Brand. Three medals from important early shuttle missions, all in their original plastic cases, as follows: STS-5 Unflown, numbered "98" of a total of 196 created for this mission, only twenty-nine of which actually flew. This flight, carrying a crew of four, was the fifth overall space shuttle mission and the fifth flight of Columbia, November 11-16, 1982; STS-41-B Flown, numbered "7F"; fifty-two of 166 produced flew on the mission with the five man crew. The tenth space shuttle mission overall and the fourth flight of Challenger, February 3-11, 1984; STS-35 Flown, numbered "13F", ninety-four flew with the seven man crew out of 188 produced. The thirty-eighth overall space shuttle mission and the tenth flight of Columbia which deployed "ASTRO-1," a four-telescope observatory, December 2-10, 1990. These sterling medals are all in beautiful condition; the cases each have cracks, though the original stickers are still present.

Included with this lot are three separate signed Letters of Authenticity from Kevin Brand, son of astronaut Vance Brand, that read, in part: "...[This] medallion was one of 4 mission medallions (Apollo/Soyuz, STS-5, STS-41-B, STS-35) given to me by my father. Each medallion was handed to me soon after the mission."
