From Michael Collins' collection

Gemini 10 Flown Fliteline Silver-Colored Medallion Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Michael Collins, with Handwritten LOA. This 25mm medal was flown aboard Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966, with crewmembers Michael Collins and John Young. The obverse depicts the mission insignia, a large Roman numeral "X" with both Gemini spacecraft and Agena target vehicle orbiting it and two stars, with the crew surnames above and below. The reverse has the flight name and dates engraved in block letters. The obverse is in brilliant and excellent condition. The reverse has a certain amount or residue from the deteriorating foam pad in the original plastic case (included).

Included with this lot is a handwritten and signed Letter of Authenticity on his personal letterhead. It reads, in full: "I hereby certify that the accompanying Fliteline silver-colored medallion was carried by me aboard Gemini X in July 1966, and has been in my personal possession ever since. Michael Collins/ Gemini X Pilot/ March, 2014"
