Description
Apollo 13: Lumen Winter Limited Edition "Steeds of Apollo" Print. A 1981-dated 28" x 20" color lithograph on textured paper. The printed caption beneath the image of four galloping horses reads: "Steeds of Apollo - the painting by Lumen Martin Winter chosen as the theme of the official insignia for the historic flight Apollo XIII by James Lovell - Fred Haise and Jack Swigert...Thomas Mattingly". This is based on a mural Mr. Lumen (1908-1982) painted for the St. Regis Hotel in New York. Not signed, not numbered, one of an edition of 500. A great piece to mat and frame with crew autographs.
