Apollo 11 Medals: Collection of Two Large, in High Relief. As follows.
(1) 2.875" (73 mm), unmarked (pewter?) table medal by Balfour, one-sided with felt on reverse and Balfour sticker, "First Lunar Landing" with mission and crew surnames around astronaut and flag on obverse, 6.9 troy ounces.
(2) 3.5" (89 mm), extremely high relief, by "David Oliviera". Three crew busts and Liberty torch on obverse with the text: "Terra Lua O Feito Mais Notavel Da Historia Universal" (Portuguese- Earth Moon. The most remarkable achievement in universal history). The reverse depicts launch, moon exploration, and splashdown scenes around the Statue of Liberty's head and crown with the text: "Descolabem Alunagem Amaragem" (Take off, Landing, Ditching). Limited edition, on rim: "589". 9.4 troy ounces.
