Soviet Vintage Sputnik-1 and 8K71PS Launch Vehicle Model Made by Energia, Signed on the Base by Salizhan Sharipov. A handmade detailed polished aluminum model of both the world's first artificial satellite and the rocket that launched it on October 4, 1957. Overall height is 24" and it stands on a 10" x 6.5" wooden base; the weight is approximately 13 lbs. Made by Energia Space Corporation and the OKB Progress Design Bureau main rocket engine plant in Samara City, Russia. Beautiful. Excellent.Auction Info
