Description

Victorian Era German Hand-and-a-Half Sword.
48-inches in overall length with a 38-inch double edge blade. Three stage full length fullers on each side with the Sun on one side and the Moon motif on the other. Approximately 2-inches at widest point. 13-inch simple but ornate crossguard. Leather wrapped grip with a dome shaped pommel fabricated with a capstan. No scabbard present. No other markings visible. Appears to be a copy of a 17th sword.

Condition: Good. Showing moderate wear throughout. Dark patina with patches of pitting and surface rust. Blade with minor chips to edge. Grip with losses and cracks to leather. Pommel with heavy patina. Blade and crossguard heavily cleaned at some point.
