Description
Very Fine US M1833 Dragoon Saber. Blade near mint with just some minor spots of staining near the tip. Engraved "N. P. Ames / Cutler / Springfield / 1836 on obverse with horizontal engraved "United States" over wreath on reverse. Retains the original buff leather washer. Hilt overall about perfect with nice untouched patina, with leather and spring like brass wire wrap also about perfect. Correct original scabbard with absolutely no dents and deep dark patina with just some scattered very old surface rust, easily cleaned. Sword exhibits all, deeply stamped, correct proofmarks.
