Description
U.S. Model 1840 Musicians' Sword Made by Ames.28 1/4-inch bright, straight blade with the Ames company information on the obverse ricasso and "U.S. / A.D.K. / 1862" on the reverse ricasso. Gilded-brass hilt inspector marked "AHC" on the knuckle bow. No scabbard.
Condition: Very good. Scattered spotting to blade, light nicks on cutting edge.
