Description
U.S. Model 1840 Heavy Cavalry Saber.34-inch curved blade with faint illegible maker or date on the reverse ricasso. Gilded-brass hilt stamped "38" on the reverse near the pommel. Wire-wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard with two mounting rings. Drag stamped "ADK".
Condition: Very good. A nice example with some minor dings in the cutting edge of the blade.
