Description
U.S. Ames Model 1860 Naval Cutlass.32-inches in overall length. 26-inch slightly curved blade with a 18-inch fuller. Ricasso marked: U.S. / D.R. / 1862. Brass guard with riveted knucklebow. Wire-wrapped leather handle. Brass tipped leather scabbard.
Condition: Very good. Overall showing scattered areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable cracking to leather.
