Description

Shinto Tanto.

13 1/4-inches in overall length, with a 8-inch blade. Unsigned, good aikuchi mounts, silver mon menuki with katakiri engraving. Sentoku split kogai. Please note: The word mon represents a family crest and the word katakiri signifies the carving that is layered onto or into one-piece of noble metal. An interesting example, interesting to note that Aikuchi means the hilt and the scabbard meet without a cross guard.
