Description
Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword.37 1/2-inch blade, 43 1/2-inches overall. The blade has two deep fullers running to within 3-inches of the tip. The blade is 1 1/4-inches wide at the hilt. Basket is constructed of pieces forged together. Piercings with elaborate hand cut decoration on the edges, heart shaped piercing underneath on each side. Two branches at the back extend down 1-inch onto the blade. Horn grip. Basket hilt with red felt covering a leather lining. No scabbard.
Condition: Tip rounded, otherwise very good condition.
