Description

Relic 13th-14th Century Medieval Sword. A good specimen of a late 13th, early 14th century Knightly Sword in the general classification of a Type XV as used by Oakeshot. Having a 31.5 inch tapered blade of diamond section with medial ridge visible for full length. Blade is 2-inches wide at its maximum width where it meets the gently curved guard. Center of grip with small concentric ring mark. Rare faceted pommel approximately 1 3/4-inches in diameter. Overall length is 38-inches. Condition: Good as excavated. Dark patina with pitting throughout. Sword is stable with no movement in guard or quillon.
