Description

Model 1860 Cavalry Saber and Scabbard. This was the model carried throughout the Civil War and Plains Indian Wars, manufactured by Ames, Chicopee, Massachusetts. This one is stamped "US/ JH/ 1859." The condition is excellent with some scattered corrosion and pitting on both blade and scabbard. The 18" leather wrist knot is intact.
