Description
Japanese Katana Attributed to Kane Mune.25 3/4-inch blade. Two pairs of holes in the tang. Iron guard with hammered decoration. Lizard menukis. Black-lacquered saya. An old tag attached to the sword reads "Shinto (1660) Made by Kane Mune" but this attribution is unverified at the time of this sale.
Condition: Good. A new nicks in the cutting edge; some blistered on the blade dating from the period of manufacture.
