Description

German Made Model 1860 Style Cavalry Saber. 34 ¾" slightly curved blade marked "Henry Boker / Solingen" on the obverse ricasso. Wire-wrapped leather grip. Brass guard and pommel. The guard has six notches uniformly applied giving one pause for thought. Metal scabbard with two mounting rings, lacking throat screws. This is a very heavy sword with a few light sharpening scratches on the edge and few scattered dark spots. The leather grip is scuffed but intact and the scabbard is dent free. A substantial and well-made example.
