Description
Emerson & Silver U.S. Model 1840 Noncommissioned Officers' Sword Dated 1863.31 ¾-inch bright, straight blade with a wide fuller on each side. Marked "US / DFM / 1863" on the obverse ricasso and "Emerson / & / Silver / TRENTON / N.J." on the reverse ricasso. Brass hilt. Knucklebow marked "DFM". Metal scabbard with brass throat and drag. Drag marked "DFM".
Condition: Very good. Blade with scattered spotting and an overall gray patina; the scabbard's drag has moderate to heavy dents.
