Early European Bell Cup Rapier. 37-inch tapered straight blade of diamond section with single median fuller. Valley of fuller stamped with letters: AONT?ANTOLA?EO. Bell cup guard pierced with floral scrolls. Roped outer rim of cup. Spiral pattern crossguard with cone finials. Single bar knucklebow with spiral pattern. One-piece spiral horn grip. Pierced orb-shaped pommel with button finial. No scabbard. Ricasso marked in white paint: "284/JKL". Condition: Very good. Metal with grey patina with scattered light pitting present. Minor period repair to base of blade with some discoloration present. Grip with light wear overall.
