Description
Eagle Pommel Presentation Grade Infantry Sword.30 ¼-inch straight blade with fullers on each side running the entire length of the blade. The blade has blued panels on each side with gilded decoration within each. Beautiful gilded-brass hilt featuring leaf quillon tips, langets with foliate designs and an impressive eagle head pommel. Chain guard. Bone handle. Gilded scabbard with two mounting rings. The obverse side of the scabbard features sections of engraved foliate designs and a spread-wing eagle and shield. A very attractive example.
Condition: Excellent. Lacks one throat washer screw. Handle has professional repair, some discoloration is evident and present towards eagle head.
