Beautiful English-Made Eagle's Head Pommel U.S. Infantry Officers' Sword. 30 ½-inch curved, wide blade finished in blue with gilt-accented engraving including panoplies of arms, foliate patterns and an American eagle with "E Pluribus Unum" banner. The blade is marked "Warranted" indicating English manufacture. The gilded-brass hilt features a langet adorned with an American eagle, and fluted bone grip. Black leather scabbard with gilded-brass throat and drag, two mounting rings and frog stud.

Condition: Very good. Retaining nearly all the gilt on the blade and approximately 80% on the hilt. Blue lacking 12" from tip. Remnants of leather throat washer. Minor nicks in cutting edge. Scabbard with traces of gilt on mounts and the tip is separated just above the drag with about 1 1/2-inches of leather lacking, otherwise good condition.
