Description

Antique Japanese Sword with Scabbard, c. 1855. The ha-cho, or cutting edge of the katana blade, measures 29 1/4" long (34 1/4" overall including the tang). The sori, the curvature of the blade is even and the hamon is oo-gunome. The ubo is original. The habaki is copper. The tang is marked, "Inoue Izumi no Kami Kunisada" and "Kanbun juichi nen Nigatsubi".

Condition: The sword is in excellent condition with very shallow rust, no major flaws, or blemishes. A few cosmetic file marks. The cutting tip has been broken and repaired.
