Pair of Thai or Burmese Dha Ceremonial Swords.

Approximately 27-inch curved blades and 2-inches at their widest spots. 14 1/2-inch handles of floral and foliage design with dancing or celebrating Thai/Burmese characters. Approximately 42-inches overall. Note: This item is lot number 1585 on the Invoice from International Studio Art Division, The Hearst Corp. of which a photocopy is included in the sale. According to consignor and paperwork provided, this item was obtained by Shirley Temple Black from the Hearst warehouse in 1963 to complement her decorating and collecting habits. On the form, the item states, "Pr. Steel Swords, Brass Handles, L41".

Condition: Fair to good with moderate wear and pitting. Some surface rust present and losses to finish on blades. Good looking and of great form.
