Sir Henry Fletcher's Sword Cane.

Overall length is 37-inches. In 1925 this cane was gifted to Sir Henry Fletcher C.V.O. The cane is 37-inches long which means that Henry was about 6 feet, 2 inches. There is a three-quarter inch steel ferrule. The silver collar is engraved and stamped SIR HENRY FLETCHER C.V.O. / 17, VICTORIA SQUARE S.W. / FROM CHARLES / 1925. the cane has an unusual exotic bamboo appearance with a natural arched handle with the representation of a blossoming plant with approximately 20 silver pods.
The blade is 26-inches long and 10 mm wide, with a central groove and show signs of being used. There is a needle tip and the blade is extremely well formed and well-made with no edging and no marking. The shaft is faded so that the V shape blade slides easily in and out without obstruction.

Condition: Very good to fine, showing age and handling wear. Wood with nicks and scuffs, but well presented. Some tarnish to silver. Blade with a gray patina overall with signs of pitting.
