Description
Silver Inlaid Indian Axe.Approximately 29-inches in overall length. The Indian axe has a curved steel blade which is 5-inches deep and approximately 9-inches on the blade point to point. Decorated on both sides of blade and block with a silver and gold color depicting floral passages and scrollwork. The mallet/butt has a stylized design. Point measures about 4-inches with a simple form dome design. The shaft is approximately 22-inches and features a simple look with small 1-inch silver inlay mid-point. Overall weight is approximately 2 1/4 pounds.
Condition: In overall good condition, with age wear present and scattered pitting. Inlays on shaft and blade are faint and dark. Fine scratches overall due to storage and handling. From the Sylver Schaller Collection.
