Description

Signed Japanese Wakizashi in Koshirae.
13 1/2" slightly curved blade with wavy temper line. Silver washed copper habaki. Pierced twisted-border circular iron tsuba with simple gold line inlays. Matching gilt-copper serrated-edge seppas. Green cord-wrapped fishskin grip with gold highlighted flower menuki. Matching fuchi & kashira with gold inlayed flower motif. Contained in black lacquered wooden scabbard decorated with pawlonia leaf motifs.

Condition: Blade is very good with bright polish, well defined temper line and a few minor scattered flaws. Grip wrap is fine and tight. Scabbard is excellent. Missing its kogatana.
