Overall length is 38-inches. This is a very attractive court style walking stick from the 18th century it is a style fancy cane with gold wash appointments of the pommel and the clasp-ring that includes a lanyard loop, this lanyard loop is depressed and unlocks the sword so it can be removed from its scabbard. The sword has a fine diamond shaped blade. The blade has a needle point and is approximately 30-inches long. The cane shaft is fitted with a metal receptacle so that the cane slides elegantly to rest. The ferrule is 3 1/2-inches long and the wood on the cane is purposely crafted as the shaft is an amber color exotic satinwood. The shaft has a darker amber stain than the select golden satin wood handle.
Note: When used correctly by a skilled swordsman this cane sword and it's shaft are truly formidable offense and-defense weapons. This cane went very well with silk hose high heals and a powdered wig.
