Description
19th C. Maori Battle Axe. Having a 7 1/4-inch x 3-inch Nephrite Jade blade. Traditional heavily carved Maori figures and heads with mother-of-pearl eyes. Constructed in New Zealand for late 19th century tourist or steamer trade.Condition: Very good to excellent. Scattered light wear and dents. Replaced rope binding. Blade edge is mint.
