Lot of Three Military Swords and Scabbards. Comprising: 1) U.S. Model 1860 Enlistedman's Cavalry Saber with Scabbard. 35-inch slightly curved blade with wide fuller. Ricasso marked, "U.S./DR/1863." Standard three-guard brass guard marked "C86" on the back. Wire-wrapped, leather covered ribbed hardwood grip. Contained in original steel scabbard with two hanger rings. 2) German Cavalry Sword and Scabbard. 32 1/4-inch tapered blade with beaded back edge and 11-inch false edge. Ricasso marked, "WEYERSBERG/KIRSCHBAUM&c/SOLINGEN." Pierced four-bar iron guard with integral knucklebow. Front of guard with Imperial Eagle. Ribbed, hard rubber grip. Contained in steel scabbard with single hanger ring. Throat is unit marked, "11.U.5.144./? H.K.??" 3) U.S. Model 1913 "Patton" Cavalry Sword and Scabbard. 35-inch tapered, double edged blade with median fuller. Ricasso marked: "U.S. No. 11." Reverse ricasso marked: "L.F.& Co./1918." Standard guard and grip. Contained in original canvas covered wood scabbard with steel throat and tip. Condition: 1) Good. Overall clean blade with scattered spots and nicks to edge. Nice age patina to brass. Grip retaining only about 10% of leather and wire wrap. Scabbard fair with heavy wear and age patina. 2) Fair to good. Blade with moderate use wear with age patina and pitting. Guard a brown-gray patina with light surface pitting. Grip good. Scabbard with heavy wear and gray-brown patina. Dents present. 3) Very good. Blade is fine with only light scabbard wear observed. Guard with moderate age wear and patina. Scabbard Very good. Moderate age wear and patina.
