Description
Scarce Concealed Shin-Shinto Tanto.Approximately 6-inch blade. In the form of a fan, lacquered scabbard. An interesting Japanese weapon with a hidden / concealed twist to it. Overall length is 11 1/2-inches.
According to research; A fan tanto is a common tanto with a blade entirely concealed within a fan-shaped design/scabbard. The blade was usually of low quality, since this particular tanto was not designed to be a display piece, but rather a concealed weapon for self-defense.
Condition: Very good with some blade wear, overall handling present. Light marks present.
