Description
Lot of Two U.S. Fighting Knives and Scabbards.Comprising: 1) U.S. Navy Mark 2 Fighting Knife and Scabbard by Ka-Bar. 7-inch clip point blade with short fuller. Ovoid steel guard marked: Ka-Bar/USN/MK2. Stacked leather washer grip. Flat steel pommel. Contained in issue scabbard. Canvas belt loop over steel throat marked on the front: U.S.N./MK 2. Reverse with: NORD-4723/B.M.CO /2/VP. Standard painted wood scabbard. 2) U.S. M4 Bayonet and M8 Scabbard. Bayonet with standard configuration. Guard marked: US M4/CONETTA. Contained in issue M8 scabbard. Front of throat marked: USM8/B.M.CO.
Condition: 1) Good to very good. Blade retaining most of original finish. Sharpened back edge. Age wear and soiling to guard and grip. Scabbard good with light soiling. Surface rust at fasteners. 2) Good. Nicks and fine pitting to blade. Scabbard fair to good with heavy wear and scuffs. Losses at tip. Surface rust at fasteners.
