Description
Early 19th Century Folding Knife Attributed to Admiral Nelson. Having a 4 1/4-inch single-edged, locked-back blade marked SUPERIOR STEEL. Brass bolster. Horn scales. Overall length is approximately 9-inches. Auction tag attached reading: PORT NO 3605/ 392 NELSON. Sold together with a copy of a letter from William Fagan tracing ownership of the knife back to a deaccessioning from "Royal Navy Trophy Fund of Britain."Condition: Fair. Scattered light pitting to blade. Moderate age wear and patina overall.
