Description

Japanese Sword Munechika Kyoto in Resting Scabbard. The ha-cho, or cutting edge of the tachi blade, measures 35 1/8" long (47 3/4" overall including the tang). The sword is mounted in a shira-saya, or storage scabbard, with calligraphy on the side. The sori, the curvature of the blade is even and the hamon is notare, following the shape of the blade. The ubo is original. The habaki is copper covered with gold foil. The tang is marked in the Tachi style, "Sanjou ko-kaji Munechika".

Condition: The sword is in excellent condition with no rust, flaws, or blemishes. The cutting tip is slightly broken.
