Description
Italian Air Force Officers' Sword. 33-inch straight, narrow blade etched on either side with floral designs, panoplies of arms, an airplane, eagle and other patriotic symbols. Ornate guard styled in the shape of a bird's wing. Eagle-head pommel with pommel cap in the form of a crown. Wire-wrapped black lacquered wooden grip. Black leather scabbard with ornately decorated mounts, the upper featuring an Italian air force eagle. Plain brass drag.Condition: About very good. Modest wear to blade, mainly from storage; hilt with uniform dark patina; scabbard leather scuffed and a bit dry.
