Description

World War I Era Trench Art Knife. Of single piece shell-fragment construction. 6-inch double-edged blade with raised median. Maltese cross guard marked [crown]/W/1914. Iron grip irregularly formed and decorated with band of brass. According to the consignor the knife is Polish in origin. Conditon: Very good. Metal a fine gray patina with scattered spotting and patches of fine pitting.
