Description

Pair of German-Style Hunting Daggers. Both daggers match in size and form with 13" single-edge blades with Weyersberg & Co., Solingen maker's marks. Both sides of the blades are liberally etched with hunting scenes. The brass guards are identical in style though vary slightly in form. One example has an eagle's head pommel; the other a wild boar. Polished bone grips. Both examples are in identical leather sheathes with embossed brass tips and throats. Both examples are complete with leather frogs. Both examples are in fine condition, but the overall fit and finish suggest that they were intended for the decorator or recent tourist market.
